Executive - Retirement & Healthcare Leader

Role Summary:
The Executive ? Retirement and Healthcare Leader has overall responsibility of GE Healthcare Retirement & Healthcare plans across the North America region and is responsible for developing and refining strategy and policy for these plans. This role reports directly to the Compensation & Benefits Leader in GE Healthcare and is a key member of the GE Healthcare Compensation and Benefits team.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Executive - Retirement and Healthcare Leader should build and maintain relationships with the national, regional and global HRMs and C&B colleagues in GE Healthcare, as well as key functional associates in Finance, Legal, Tax and HR Ops, and manage their team to do the same. The leader should also build and manage relationships with key stakeholder groups, especially Retirement Governance Boards and external partners to the plans they are responsible for. For Healthcare benefits, this will require the choice and management of providers and clinics including agreements for specific treatments. They will also be responsible for driving effective and timely communications from their team to the HR and employee community.
The Executive - Retirement and Healthcare Leader will also be expected to manage the plans and strategy for the delivery of Global Mobility programs, ad-hoc/time-sensitive projects and commercially focused M&A/Restructurings.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities for role:
- Providing expertise and strategic advice through partnership with business leaders, HRMs, C&B colleagues and plan stakeholders on key Retirement and Healthcare strategies to serve different business needs and feed into overall Company objectives
- Leading the design and implementation of new Retirement and Healthcare plans which specifically focus on a simplified and harmonized outcome, while ensuring they are competitive
- Identify opportunities for same simplified and harmonized outcome in existing Retirement and Healthcare plans, while ensuring they are competitive
- Identification, engagement and management of appropriate key external vendors
- Continuously reviewing market data and industry trends within the Retirement and Healthcare area to ensure accurate and timely benchmark data is used in the design and review process
- Being accountable within C&B, and partnering with other business functions to ensure that Retirement and Healthcare processes and policies are compliant with legal and local rules and regulations, and efficient within local resources
- Support due diligence analysis for M&A deals, and lead post acquisition integration or post disposal separation of Retirement and Healthcare plans focused on best GE outcome
- Preparing and distributing written and verbal information to employees on Retirement & Healthcare plans to raise awareness, drive change and spread knowledge
- Drive retirement and Healthcare governance in country, in conjunction with the COE leader, global C&B team and relevant HR stakeholders.
- Leading or participating in global C&B initiatives and projects
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Degree in Business Management or related field, with post graduate qualifications in a relevant subject a significant advantage
- Minimum 12 years? experience in the area of retirements and Healthcare in the main locations covered, including a minimum 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience in leading significant change programs
- Proven ability to shape and influence key Retirement and Healthcare strategy in support of business needs, while operating in a challenging environment
- Accountable for identifying objectives which drive simplification and harmonization of plans
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to operate effectively within a matrix environment
- Demonstrated people management and facilitation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, consulting, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to project manage multiple and conflicting projects for self and others, within a specified format and process
- Able to effectively manage a large and complex workload, with experience of identifying and driving initiatives on a personal and group basis
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience in merger/acquisition and/or integration activities
- Fluency in Business English
