Senior Project/Program Manager

Role Summary:
The Senior Project Manager will lead the implementation of a critical business project and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business. In this role, the Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, manage complex projects and issues within area of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Serve as the primary customer contact
+ Resolve specification and commercial issues, manage correspondence, provide periodic updates, ensure customer satisfaction, and negotiate/coordinate with staff as appropriate
+ Be responsible for on-time delivery in accordance with contract
+ Be responsible for the project risk issues including receivables, claims, contract changes, margin enhancement, and effect project closeout.
+ Lead project team, including partners, through contract reviews to identify and manage risks, monitor financial and operational performance against the agreed timescales, and initiates corrective action where appropriate
+ Be the overall project owner and responsible for matrix teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Logistics, Finance and Services
+ Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or Equivalent from an accredited university of college
+ Minimum of 5 year of experience in project management
+ Ability and willingness to travel. 50% time in Chicago and 50% in Fort Worth.
Desired Characteristics:
+ Master?s Degree in Business Administration or Engineering from an accredited university or college
+ Significant project, construction, field engineering and/or contract management experience in the railroad industry
+ Knowledge of Railroad operations: dispatch systems
+ High energy level and self-starter
+ Technical knowledge of product lines and associated systems
+ Six sigma training or equivalent quality training
+ Sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks
+ Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a matrix team or organization
+ Ability to anticipate events and develop adaptive strategies and remedies
+ Strong skills in customer relationship building, facilitation, and matrix management
+ Exceptional oral and written communication skills
+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
+ Strong business and financial acumen
+ PMP certification
+ Ability to drive and manage change in a dynamic environment
+ Familiar with Agile SW development process

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
