Staff Technical Product Manager - Communications & Marketing Leader

Role Summary:
You will operate in lock-step with functional counterparts to create simplified business processes, technical solutions, and convey that vision to technical teams. You will lead the platforms and products used to support our communications and marketing areas. These tools include, but are not limited to, our next generation intranet platform, .com sites, market and other communications tools.
Essential Responsibilities:
You will direct the team with a clear and descriptive set of requirements captured as stories and partner with the team to determine what can be delivered through balancing the need for new features, re-use, horizontal adoption, and long-term sustainability. Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders. You will influence and drive work through centralized resource teams to deliver quality technical solutions
In this role, you will:
+ Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and significant products, related to intranet, internet, communications tools, and marketing platforms
+ Own the short-term roadmap for MVPs and deep understanding of future usage of the platforms supported
+ Prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs
+ Demonstrate expert level skill in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity
+ Engage frequently with the technical teams; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions
+ Own and manage the backlog; continuously order and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready
+ Collaborate with Design Thinking processes, demonstrating deep understanding of business personas, identify and proactively simplify work
+ Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborate on personas
+ Partner with technical teams to ensure healthy development process
+ Translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units through problem decomposition and planning
+ Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and technical teams
+ Demonstrates excelling business acumen, knows latest industry trends and is looked at as an internal expert on the product as well as the associated competitive landscape Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or in ?STEM? Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
+ A minimum of 8 years of professional experience IT OR Master?s degree with 6 years of experience in IT OR PhD with 3 years of experience in IT
+ GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completedEligibility Requirements:

+ Must be willing to travel, only when necessary
+ Must be willing to work out of an office located in Chicago, Erie, or Fort Worth Desired Characteristics:
+ Familiar with Content Management Systems, specifically Drupal
+ Strong knowledge of internet technologies
+ Understanding of cloud hosting websites
+ Experience working in Agile SW development projects, waterfall tollgate methodologies, and Fastworks
+ Demonstrates knowledge on technical topics, such as database, application architecture, servers, middleware, cloud, and network. Business Acumen:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
