Overview:
Working as a Full-Time Manufacturing Lead Machinist, you will be required to have extensive knowledge of the Machining process. This position will require that you help manage the workload and set-up the more complicated parts and when time permits be able to run the equipment.
The Lead Machinist will be responsible for multiple duties including but not limited to Machine set-ups, Operation of CNC Mills and Lathes, Operation of standard shop equipment (saws, grinders, sanders, etc.), coordinating with vendors for secondary processes, inspection of finished product, shop maintenance and cleaning, and other duties as assigned, CNC programming via Mastercam/Solidworks if needed.
Candidates should know how to use standard machinist measuring equipment and have a strong knowledge of hand tools. Candidates should be mechanically inclined and have at least 10 years experience. Previous experience with Fanuc controllers is required. Must be able to create/edit G&M-Code programs on a variety of parts. Candidate should be familiar with post-machining processes (heat-treating, anodizing, plating, etc.) The Lead Machinist will be responsible for all aspects of production in the absence of the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Working directly with Operations manager on daily, weekly, monthly goals
o Performing accurate inspections on product in accordance with company policies
o Programming multiple pieces of equipment
o Providing mentorship and guidance to machinists

Qualifications:

o A strong math background

o Be able to safely lift up to 75lbs
o 10
experience is necessary
o 2 year tool and die degree or machining degree is a plus
o Ability to pass the required drug test (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
