About the position:
Our auction listers are the heart of the Goodwill E-Commerce operation, transforming unusual, collectible, and repurposed donated goods into online auctions.
Listers must be able to write crisp, creative descriptions of antique and vintage items of all types, including toys, games, clothing, kitchenware, tools, art, decorative glassware, music, home d cor, electronics, jewelry, personal accessories, footwear, guitars and instruments, military memorabilia, and much more.
Using a web-based application, a listing specialist works with a wide and interesting variety of items, preparing each to appear in multiple sales channels, such as shopgoodwill.
com and ebay.
com.
Each lister is efficient, organized, and prepared to meet organization and sales' channel standards.
They also support the E-Commerce team through other responsibilities as needed.
Attention to detail is critical to creating appealing, successful auctions with precise data and measurements to accurately and thoroughly offer Goodwill merchandise to prospective customers.
Specialists focus on creating satisfying customer experiences while meeting hourly listing goals.
Recommended Skill Set Knowledge of collectibles, antiques, thrifting, and/or collecting strongly preferred.
Proficient with PCs, including email, Microsoft applications, and internet use.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently in fast-paced environment.
Strong English writing skills, including grammar and punctuation, to list merchandise for auction Comfortable staging merchandise and using digital device or smart phone for photography.
Basic math and communication skills.
Able to coordinate and work courteously as a team member to achieve group and department goals.
Exhibit a friendly demeanor and cooperatively interact with diverse co-workers and customers.
Preference given to experience researching merchandise online using web browser and eBay Able to stand or sit for long periods, plus bend, lift, and reach often throughout a shift.
Understand and follow established safety rules.
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent, though relevant training and experience will be considered in lieu of this requirement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
