We currently have an opening for a Material Inspection Coordinator.
Under the direct supervision of the After Market Service and Spare Parts manager this position works with our customers to quote, create orders, and invoice service and spare parts orders.
In addition, the Inside Sales Representative will handle all incoming leads and generate new leads by maintaining contact with all key customer contacts.
Maintain and grow sales funnel and meet sales goals for the department.
Qualifications Previous experience in material inspection and quality control, preferably in custom mechanical parts environment.
Previous experience using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and dimensions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Proficient in SAP, Excel, and Microsoft Office Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Ability to drive a forklift Strong ability to read and fully understand engineering part drawings.
Experience with supplier communications preferred.
Job Duties Prioritize and perform regular inspections of incoming material, including raw material, components, and supplies to ensure they meet quality standards and design specifications.
Maintain detailed records of all material inspections and ensure all documentations are accurate and up to date.
Work directly with suppliers to address discrepancies, non-conformities, and any other quality issues.
Collaborate with suppliers on corrective and preventative actions to improve quality standards.
Collaborate with quality control team to develop and maintain quality control procedures for material inspection.
Participate in quality audits as needed.
Ensure all materials comply with safety regulations and standards.
Report all safety concerns or incidents as needed.
Provide training to other team members regarding material inspection, quality checks, and the reading of prints.
Identify opportunities for process improvement in material inspection processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality effectiveness.
