Job DescriptionOur client is seeking an Environmental Field Technician for their Rockford, IL location.
They are a premier environmental and emergency services company in the Eastern United States.
You will be helping support the clean up from a chemical fire.
Key
Responsibilities:
Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies and site-specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gearLoad and unload equipment from vehicles, trailers and watercraftOperate routinely used tools and equipment to include, but not limited to steam cleaners, water lasers, cascade systems, chemical mixers, generators, air saws, drills, grinders, cutting torches, etc.
Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to supervisorPerform physical labor associated with cleanup activities, sample collection, waste removal and other remediation servicesWarehouse maintenance, stock supplies, building maintenanceComplete required paperwork, forms and records as requiredPerforms other duties as assigned or required.
Desired skills:
Demonstrated ability in primary job functions (ER, MTC, Remediation, Asbestos)Requires minimal task specific supervisionSelf-sufficient in handling personal paperwork (expenses, timesheets, etc.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
